A little older, a little slower

Rev. Johnson will celebrate his 85th birthday on March 6, 2018, and enjoys relatively good health although his steps have gotten slower.  His mind is sharp and he remains engaged in following the news of the day, and his church activities.

His family is collecting cards and greetings to present to him on his birthday.  If you would like to send a card or greeting, please send it to The Micah Project, PO Box 39513, Greensboro, NC 27438-9513.  Cards or messages received by February 25, 2018 will be included in his birthday box.  Cards or messages received after that date, will be delivered as they are received.

Spring 2010 presents a number of major mileposts for Reverend Aaron Johnson. In addition to the release of his memoir, Aaron is celebrating 50 years as an ordained minister, 50 years since his graduation from Shaw University Divinity School, 50 years of marriage to the former Mattie Miller, and 50 years since participating in the lunch counter sit-ins in downtown Raleigh.

Friends and fans of Aaron's are invited to a reception honoring these events at his former church, Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC, on April 10, 2 p.m.

Whether or not you can make the celebration, we invite you to share your congratulations, memories, and other thoughts here. We'll collect them to present to Aaron this spring. Click on Comments (above, in blue) and add yours.
